Enduristan Inferno heat shield

The Enduristan Inferno heat deflector protects the side panniers from the heat of the exhaust pipe. The heat from the muffler can reach up to 650°C: no pannier can withstand such temperatures. By installing the heat deflector, not only does the distance between the pannier and the muffler increase by more than two centimetres, but the aluminum deflector also acts as a shield against the heat coming from the muffler. So the heat can dissipate without damaging the bag. You can now rest the bag against the pot without damaging it.

The heat deflector is attached to the pot by a corrosion-resistant stainless steel collar.

The heat deflector is highly recommended for installation of Monsoon and Blizzard panniers without side support.

Caution: do not mount panniers directly next to a heat source such as a manifold or exhaust pipe. Use the Inferno heat deflector to keep them at a distance. It may be necessary to install two Inferno heat deflectors per side, due to the high heat generated by the muffler or manifolds. Remember also to protect any plastic on which the panniers rest.
